Cold Morning
Description: On a cold morning, a herd of wapiti [elk] stop to rest on their way to wooded cover for the day. Evidently they were running, and I came upon them and could see their warm breath in the cold air, backlit by the sun.Adjusted in PSE7. Photographed in Theodore Roosevelt National Park, South Unit, Medora, North Dakota on 10-27-2008 at 9:19 a.m.
