Description

Taken exactly one year ago at Mammoth Hot Springs in Yellowstone Park. This is the BIG BULL
riding herd ( trying to ) over the dozen or more
Elk Doe's around the town. Seems they come to town and can not resist the lush green grass of the
well watered lawns.
This fellow did pretty much destroy a Toyota that he took a disliking to. At almost a thousand pounds
a Bull Elk is not to be tested at this time of year.

Exif: F Number: 6.3, Exposure Bias Value: 0.00, ExposureTime: 1/320 seconds, Flash: did not fire., ISO: 400, White balance: Auto white balance, FocalLength: 270.00 mm, Model: NIKON D90

A fascinating story behind the picture. I have read and seen many of these big boys do some damage as they are not in the mood for anything interfering with his harem. Such a spectacular, powerful, and beautiful beast my friend. Gorgeous capture. #10328061
