Appetizers Being Served

Description

D90 Sigma50-500@420MM ISO/1600 F9 SS1/4000
Monopod
This one explains why you see these large birds
grabbing such TINY MINNOWS. Unlike Raptors who tear food into bite size pieces for their young. Egrets just expel whatever they have consumed while hunting. At this stage of there lives the chicks pick at the hodgepodge of fish and WHATEVER ELSE Mom or Dad spits into the nest at their feet. Competition for this partially digested Sushi is at the EXTREME LEVEL ALREADY
The chick who hesitates to dive right in or fight for that last morsel could very well be a statistic in no time. It's a HAESH REALITY of NEST LIFE .

Exif: F Number: 9, Exposure Bias Value: 0.00, ExposureTime: 1/4000 seconds, Flash: did not fire., ISO: 1600, White balance: Auto white balance, FocalLength: 420.00 mm, Model: NIKON D90
