Soft Foreground - good

Uploaded: August 21, 2012 10:48:08

Description

This shot was kind of an afterthought. I was trying to shoot a series of photos with the leaves in the front and the sunlit forest in the distance. I took this one with a mid-distance focus just out of curiosity and it turned out the be the best shot of the lot. I think it works because the tree trunk is a good, strong element, made stronger by the sunlight on it's bark. The soft woodsland in front and back seem to compliment that.
