Morning Lake and Sea

Description

It was a clear, still morning. The lake and sea were calm. The morning light made the foredune and reef rocks come alive. Birds darted about in the beach grass, as pelicans and seagulls flew overhead searching for a meal, while a white egret fished along the lakeshore. It seemed to be a scene suitable for painting!

Quote of the Day: “The grand show is eternal. It is always sunrise somewhere; the dew is never dried all at once; a shower is forever falling; vapor is ever rising. Eternal sunrise, eternal dawn and gloaming, on sea and continents and islands, each in its turn, as the round earth rolls.” ~John Muir
