First off, thank you, Lisa(!), for providing me with a pleasant image to counteract my memories a terrible book I had to read 50 years ago. Dale/Jeff, if you have any interest in going there, DON'T READ THE BOOK.

In this image, I'd consider turning it into a panorama. I find a lot of interest in the bottom half but it loses focus and cohesion as you move up the sides of the mountain with the vertical streams contending with the horizontally flowing water, and then the washed out ridges and and featureless sky contrasting with the rich greens and textures of the grass and flowing water.

I believe Jeff's multiply blend suggestion might help with some of that.

Nice shot Lisa. My wife and I love the shape of these hills - such a fascinating landscape.

Here is my take on a bit of correction. I used the graduated filter in ACR about 1/4 of the way down and reduced the exposure. Opening in PS I selected the sky and added #82 cooling filter at 14%. Reduced the magenta and red channels then gave it about a 5% shadows and highlights adjustment. You should be able to get much better results working with the original. #10266813

what a lovey capture lisa, I like how you made the water smooth. your edit looks great. Don't be afraid to edit one of the things I did at first was I went to save as and gave it a new name and then my original isn't messed with at all. #10273661

I'm with the others that the crops don't work for me. Your first composition is wonderful and I love how dreamy it all seems. I do think the upper portion could use some work like the others suggested...would give more drama to the image I think. :~) #10273909
