Heather, I too am dying to know the conditions under which you shot this, and whether or not you used any enhancement in PS...it's so cooool! #120586

Heather K. McFarland May 26, 2019

Thank you for your wonderful comments everyone. They are appreciated. Yes..after 5 straight days of rain a couple weeks ago I had to find something to shoot. So I went looking for neon lights reflecting on pavement and this is what I found.

As for post processing here it is -

1) I rotated a little
2) cropped a bit tighter
3) applied tone curve adjustment
4) removed some red color cast from the WB setting I used
5) used fred mirandas PS action - FM intensities to boost the saturation.
6) and last...sharpening

Here is a link to the original so you can see the differences.

First off, this is just a fantastic photo, and shows how keen your eye is for seeing images that most of us would miss.
January was my first contest since joining here in December. I was lucky enough to get a few finalist winners, and one second place. I am now looking at all the past winners, and just began viewing your gallery because of this. I am most impressed with your eye for catching graphic composition in the most normal situations. This is where I find myself going with my photography, and your images are a real inspiration.
