Queen Anne in the Meadow

Description

---
Near the base of an ancient tree in the Meadow at Bowmans Hill Wildflower Preserve (Washington Crossing, Pennsylvania), in OPPRESSIVE heat, my camera isolated this patch of multiple generations of Queen Anne's Lace.
----
The image "grew on" me!

Both are lovely and would make for a nice mix in a vase.
Guess your looking forward to today as they are talking 90's w near 100% humidity.
Just Imagine your on assignment w. Nat. Geo. & that your shooting deep in the rain forest.
OR ELSE HEAD FOR A POOL !!! My solution and salvation from heat & back pain ;o)

STAY COOL

The Queen Ann always reminds me of the doilies that grandma used to make. So pretty and elegant. Its a shame sometimes that a plant has to be called a weed especially when it produces beautifully colored flowers like this that the butterflies seem to enjoy a lot. Beautiful pictures my friend. #10261428

These flowers seem to be everywhere! Hope the heat lessens. We have had a few days of respite from the heat. #10261469
