Description: This is the Otter Cliffs along Acadia National Parks rugged coastline. Captured from Monument Cove, on Boulder beach at the exact moment the sun peeked above the horizon to create a soft alpine glow on the pink granite cliffs and wet boulders in the foreground.

A rare occurrence taking into consideration the Maine coast receives more rainy days with the exception of the US Pacific Northwest ,and the foggy conditions that often dominate the scene.
