Got To Keep On Smilin'

Uploaded: July 29, 2012 13:36:42

Description

Used speedlite bounced from ceiling and walls.
The first time I saw this frog, he disappeared before daylight. This time he was resting on my gutter around 7ish and I snatched him! He was not too happy! I brought him in along with a small potted tree, put him and the tree in my bathroom (in the tub to be exact) and took photos for over an hour. I have had far more cooperative models than he!

Looking up the frog, I have decided that it is a Cuban Treefrog, which is an invasive species in FL. According to the website,

Thank you all for your kind words! Leslie, I wouldn't want to be the one to kill him even if he is an invasive critter! He is cute and he does eat bugs (roaches too!)

Kay, isn't it funny how they all frogs look like they are smiling? I had to bring him in if I wanted to take photos because he can hop 7 or 8 feet! I would have never been able to keep up with him outdoors. I had to catch him with my hands and he slimed me! I guess they do that when they feel in danger. I read that it can cause irritation and burning of the nose and eyes if you touch eyes/nose before you wash your hands. Anyway, it was kind of sticky and yuck! Once he was in my bathroom, I didn't touch him again!

Neal, as much as I would love to find a handsome prince, I think I will let you kiss him and see if it works! If it does, then you can send the prince my way! And if it doesn't work, then you may have to buy some wart cream! :D #10249727
