Description

a rare glimpse of "The World" with a local Northwest sailboat passing in the fog near Saltspring Island, British Columbia. "The World" at 644 feet and at a cost of 5 billion dollars to build is the largest privately owned yacht on the planet. Those (only 200 people make the journey) who live onboard continuously circumnavigate the globe. This foggy morning in July 2012, it sits at anchor near Ganges, B.C. A sailboat gliding past caught my lens in the sparkling morning sunlight.
