Cirque Mountain

Description

On Friday I set the alarm early and asked Dan to be my driver on a photo taking session on Dallas Creek. The subject was the Sneffles range that is a major part of the San Juan Range in Southwestern Colorado. He did the obligatory amount of complaining about getting up early and all that stuff; but he went and I heard little to no complaining during the shoot.

The San Juans were at their best. Because of the lay of the land, sunrise is a little later there than you would guess it would be. I was in place, camera on the tripod, and buddled up against the wind when the sun peaked over the eastern horizon and spread it's wonderful rays on this peak. I have been searching for the name of this peak....found out it is Cirque Mountain. It is one peak east of Sneffles.

Hope you enjoy,
Susan
