Description

This spider scared me to death when I came in from my garden and found her attached to my shirt.
I bet she had no idea she was in for an hour portrait sitting until I released her back outside.
I am assuming this is a colorful egg sack. I don't know what type of spider this is but we got along pretty well.

Canon EF 70-200mm@200mm with the Canon 500D close up lens f/16 1/4 sec ISO 400 (Tripod and cable release)

She DOES look fierce, though. Lucky you! I had a Red Admiral butterfly land on my shirt the other day. UnUSUAL experience, but she did not hang around for a sitting. #10214974

I am glad to see that you are not one of those jump on a chair and scream girls. Just listening to your story, I admire that you took advantage of the situation and did some incredible camera work with the macro and brought us this beautiful and fascinating look at this spider. The colors and details so amazing and a reason why I am saving for a 200 macro lens for my camera. Amazing look my friend. #10215946

I am with Tammy...stomp stomp! I hate spiders and would probably die if I found one on my shirt! I don't think I could stand to do a photo shoot with it! Great capture though and a great act of bravery! #10239643

Wonderful macro Heather, she is a beauty.. glad your photographic sense took over and you got some great images. I think she is a crab spider. I have seen them this color and with a yellowish color as well. #10247126
