Dave - Not only were we allowed to use tripods, there were six of us there with all of our equipment! The people who work/volunteer there were thrilled to share their passion with us, and encouraged our photography efforts. The Museum itself covers a large area, with outdoor areas, 9 display barns, and a couple of other garages. We chose a time when it wasn't crowded (thanks, Leslie), so there was never an issue with tripods at all. #10212959

I asked about using a tripod because the Ca. Railroad Museum in Sacramento will not allow tripods. In fact I was scolded by an angry old volunteer for sneaking one in.
