Description

This squirrel was keeping me company in my backyard. He was enjoying new cones from my pine tree.
I was amazed at how quickly he turned the cone as if it were corn on the cob and then shredded it in layers like an apple peeler.

What a sweet little guy, and great detail in his fur too, Heather! I remember the first time I saw a squirrel was in England, and I was so excited, I called to the rest of the tour group to tell them "Squirrel, squirrel!!" Big deal, they just kept walking on, uninterested! They were mostly Americans and Canadians, so I gathered then, that you must see them pretty regularly over there. #1472284

Yes- they do eat fast. I was fascinated to watch them strip bark for a nest too! #10209754

Great name Heather!! Love these little guys but we don't see them often out where we live, they love the city. Excellent detail!

Too funny Debbie, yep they are pretty common out here! #10210129
