Balloon on a String
Description:
This photo was taken seventeen minutes before the previous photo. Comparing the two shows how much the setting sun moves diagonally across the western sky, from a point south of Best Rock, down to where it sets well north of Best Rock at 303.52°(Northwest). A week ago, the sun set one-fifth of a degree farther north. During the equinox, on September 22, the point at which the sun sets will move by 3.7 degrees in seven days. In other words, it’s currently almost stalled now, this being shortly after the summer solstice.
