Very very cute. He is adorable. Looks like he just had his neck brushed. #1472217

I noticed the neck right off, too. I think s/he has just been shorn - looks as if s/he's crocheted :) Pretty color and very nice light, Chris. #10208143

I have to smile at every one of your alpaca photos, and this one I even laughed.... He/she looks so proud that you are photographing it!! Wonderful portrait of such a fun creature. #10208196

Thanks, folks...!
I was in the girls' pen shooting (there are many more females than males on the farm.) The herd had just received their first shearing (under my sister's ownership, at least) the week before, so they looked somewhat ridiculous (and still cute) without their huge fluffy coats - which is the only way I'd seen them before, on all my past visits. The electric shearers leave the same repeating pattern on all of them. #10208631

I'm glad you explained about the shearing, Chris. I love the pattern of the hair and thought that's what it was. Such appealing animals. One wants to give them a hug and a scratch. #10208899

Thank you, Ann; they are friendly, although rather timid and likely to flee from strangers. #10214922
