Hiking the Narrows
Description: Zion National park, Utah. The Narrows is one of the most unusal hikes in the Colorado Plateau. Hiking in the Virgin river for a third of the hike, the river runs canyon wall to canyon wall. Most hikers will wade waist deep a few times. We hiked 3 mile in reaching what they call Wall street. A tripod is needed due to low light and a walking stick. Get an early start to avoid people. The man in the picture is a friend we meet up with there. Hiking the Narrows is rated #5 in the National Geographic ranking of Americas best 100 adventures.
