Layered Gold

Description

Rows of elaborate moldings on successive, parallel ceiling beams, receding away from me at the Library of Congress.
The gilded moldings are made up of egg-and-dart, dentils, modillions, overlapping Greek keys, and reed-and-bead.
Thanks Renee, for the loan of the 100-400L, which I used to capture this at 235mm.

Exif: F Number: 5, Exposure Bias Value: 0.00, ExposureTime: 1/10 seconds, Flash: did not fire, compulsory flash mode, ISO: 800, White balance: Auto white balance, FocalLength: 235.00 mm, Model: Canon EOS 7D
