Description

Carlsbad Caverns NP In the Great Room - wonderful hike - don't forget your tripod and a jacket. Also hankies to keep your glasses dry. The humidity is 90 percent even though the temperature is usually 57 degrees. Nice place to be today, it's 107 in Arizona, but it is a dry heat LOL!, BP Finalist

Awesome capture, Patricia! Love it! Only 107, huh? LOL! We've got to be five degrees cooler here! A regular cold snap! Love your caverns images! #10198286

Thank you so much for viewing and all your lovely comments....don't miss the bat show at night in the summer months....Mexican Free Tail Bats swarm out of the cave after sunset....enough light to see them.....amazing show! Unfortunately you cannot photograph the bats leaving, even without flash....I guess the electronics may do something to their senses...there is a Park Ranger patrolling to make sure no one breaks that rule....so beware all you shutterbugs.....have a wonderful day! #10199025

Terrific capture of these stalactite reflections Patricia! Reminds me of Luray Caverns in Virginia. You can keep your 107 degrees! Hope the rest of the summer is a little gentler. #10201090

Thank you Dee....Well we're not doing much better today...109 with 15% humidity....hope it keeps climbing, then maybe we'll get some rain. Looking forward to a trip back East next year....Luray Caverns may be one of the spots...now that I have this thing for Caverns.....Have a wonderful day....Cheers =^..^= #10201481
