@Wendy, thk u. I shot this (and others like it) on my kitchen table. I do not have a studio or studio lighting. I did make a domed shooting 'box' (for lack of the appropriate term) and I did this to eliminate undesirable reflections. The darkened area at the center of the 'eye' is the opening I was shooting through. #10181655

G'day CARLA!

Of the two "crystal ball" images I much prefer this one as it is much less "static". Pure b&w gives it a great edge and the combination of forms works extremely well. Mega congratz for the EP and I wish you more success with this one.

Thanks so much, David.
This and its pair are Chinese Health Balls. Originally produced during the Ming Dynasty. These hallow balls play tunes as you rotate them within your hands. As they roll they stimulate acupuncture points. Very soothing. Anyway, I set them down on wrapping paper, walked away, and when I turned I noticed the papers reflection on the balls. So, its likely more luck than creativity. :)
