Description

Visits to the North Carolina Outer Banks are even more special when I get to see the yucca plants in bloom. So when we moved last summer, I was thrilled to see two of the plants right in our back yard . This is from last year, but they're just now starting to bloom again. Have a wonderful Tuesday, everyone!

Breathtaking capture, Monnie. I learned last year from Jim Baines that this plant is TOTALLY dependent on the Yucca moth for pollination, and the Yucca moth is equally dependent on the Yucca flower for life. The problem is that the moth is becoming VERY scarce.

Keep those photos for your memory box! #1468650

Oh...one more thing: I am SO fascinated with your white-on-white detail (outstanding) and your petal textures. The black background really helps to showcase this excellent work! #10177339
