McWay Falls ~ Big Sur

Uploaded: June 11, 2012

Description

This was taken during our Vacation in Monterey, CA. McWay Falls is an 80-foot waterfall located in Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park that flows year-round. Like Alamere Falls, this waterfall is one of only two in the region that are close enough to the ocean to be referred to as "tidefalls". It is located on McWay Creek and is one of the few waterfalls that empty directly into the ocean. ~ Wikipedia

Nice view of one of my favorite places. Thanks for all your information too. I have been there are high tide, but didn't know the expression "tide falls". Thank you for your beautiful images, Reynaldo! #10376997
