Description

The beaches of the North Carolina Outer Banks are subject to heavy erosion, so fencing like this is common in efforts to keep it to a minimum (this was taken in Duck). Beautiful day here, but cool. Have a wonderful Tuesday, everyone!

Very cool...I never realized that that's why the fencing on beach dunes is zig-zagged. Welcome to the EAST, Monnie. Hope the weather holds up for you. #1467249

NICE ONE Know those fences OH TOO WELL.
Had a friend w/a summer home in Duck. Sold it because of the killer upkeep from the winter storms.

In reading about the dunes, I was amazed at how much the wildlife depends on them. Your picture does a beautful job in showing how they are trying to save them. Outstanding my friend. #10170174

Love the patterns here, Monnie. Ah, that coast gets hit by so much "weather." I can see why the fencing is needed. #10171762
