Description

-----
Shot this just after the most recent charity Polar Bear Plunge in Long Beach, New York, last February.
----
Two of my steps took the plunge, along with some of their teen-aged children.

------

It was a balmy day for February, and I found myself perspiring in my winter weather gear.

Beautiful stretch of wonderfully deserted beach, Michelle! I do love cold, but not anywhere enough to go jump in frigid water in the middle of winter (kudos to those who do it for a good cause)! #1466859

I'd rather perspire and take the photo, than take the plunge. Beautiful simple capture of the scene. Love the colors, tones, comp, and the bird put it over the top!

Brave souls who jump into the water that time of year....around August might be nice, but February....brrrrrrrr....Beautiful capture Michelle.....love the watch of the seagull on the shack.....=^..^= #10199388

A favorite for me. I love this wonderful beach scene and would never have guessed it was so cold had you not told us! I could never take the plunge; I had the hardest time jumping in and swimming in the river in Townsend, TN in June. The water temp was probably 65-67, and it was freezing! Here in FL, we have springs that are 72 degrees year round, and that is cold! #10202451
