Thanks Bonnie,Brinn and Pat for your nice comments.We have heaps of these trees around our wetlands,but sometimes you get one with the bark peeling off(even though the bark always tends to peel off to some extent on all swamp Paperbarks),which seems to show much more character and colour than most of them.Like this one here.Thanks again. #1930260

I love our Paperbarks Kate,to me they are just so much of our wetlands,where I have spent so much of my working life.(Of course many of our friends in the US detest our Paperbarks,where they have been introduced to some areas and are now taking over from the indigenous flora...but thats nearly always the story of introduced species,be it animal or plant).Thanks Kate. #1971371

Thanks Adilson and Kate for your nice words.I had actually forgotten this as well as it seemed months ago that I entered it.So it caught me by surprise.I saw Kate`s birch paperbark in a US forest,just the other day.Mary said she used it for making postcards as a kid.Our Melaleuca paperbark in Ozz is used extensively by many of the artists of our indigenous population for some wonderful bark painting`s.Thanks to all again on your nice comments and thoughts. #2116067
