Beatrix II

Description

This was taken when she still thought my camera was a gun. The only way I could get this photo was to lie on the deck at the same level as her. After being with us for 3 weeks she is working through some issues from her former abuse, and being dropped off in the wild. She is still a sweetie.
She will not go into her igloo dog house, even thought I threw an old shirt of mine into it, with a scoop of canned dog food in it, 3days ago. This AM we had a severe thunderstorm. Don't know if she used it.

An excellent animal portrait!!

We are having the same issues with our rescue Beagle. The dog shelter thought he had been abused.. Can't imagine why, he's an absolute sweetheart. #1459055

Poor thing - she's got such a sweet, soulful face! #10110764

She is beautiful. Such a shame when people mistreat their animals . . . glad she is in a safe home now. #10112452

She is precious.
I know I'd be scared if I had to be outdoors alone in a "severe thunderstorm." Please bring Beatrix inside!! #10112810

Well Beatrix went inside her igloo dog house. If it had gotten any worse we would have let her inside.

Thank you all for all of your kind remarks! #10113683

Hi all, I again should have explained more in my response. Her igloo is on our covered front porch, not just out in the yard. I have found that she likes to go out in the rain and getting soaked. Maybe that is the Aussie shepherd part of her. I also know that she has an Aussie shepherd personality! #10114771

Beatrix is a beautiful dog, and this is a fine portrait Amanda! Your low POV and detail are fantastic, I love the shiny black nose! #10134987
