Fill 'Er Up

Uploaded: April 23, 2012

Description

Wouldn't you like to fill up with gas at yesteryear's prices?
This gas pump sits abandoned on the Saskatchewan prairie. I can imagine a steady line of vehicles waiting to fill up.

Terrific find, Heather! I remember stopping for 50 cents worth of gas (which a station attendant put in the tank and cleaned my windshield to boot). #10107304

I love the shadows playing across the wall behind the bowser, Heather, I reckon the bowser and that little bit of wall would make a wonderful scene on it's own!! :) #10109155

Excellent rural find, Heather. Stark branches casting shadows on a rusted gas pump and weathered wood really convey the sense of decades past and places long abandoned. This creates such a nostalgic mood. Great capture!

Thank you so much for all your friendly comments tonight. Hope you have a relaxing weekend. #10112235
