Ruins

Description

These are some ruins from a mansion in Bar Harbor, Maine that burned in the fire of 1947. This fire wiped out much of the old homes. Some were saved but a lot burned. If you look you can still see a lot of the foundations and steps in the woods. It was very sad to look at the original homes there and how beautiful they were. In this picture is part of a swimming pool and changing area. You can look the fire up, if you google fire of 1947 in Bar Harbor, Maine. There is a mansion build on this property now but a lot of the remains are still there.

Exif: F Number: 6.3, Exposure Bias Value: 0.33, ExposureTime: 10/1250 seconds, Flash: did not fire., ISO: 100, White balance: Auto white balance, FocalLength: 18.00 mm, Model: NIKON D80

Amazing capture, Shelly! Great color and the composition is perfect. Bar Harbor (and Mt. Desert Island) was my favorite place during and just after high school. I'll never think of it without a touch of longing. Great work here. #10104883
