Description: This is from my archive back in 2006, and it is a view of the rugged country some 66 miles west of Sydney, in an area called the Blue Mountains. There is a cable trolley and a cable car that descends from the top of the plateau down onto the floor of the valley. If there is a mechanical or electrical failure, you can escape by climbing the track up the cliff face, and walking the 1500+ steps back to the parking lot. Some of the stairs can be seen on the cliff face, just left of centre. People should enjoy a reasonable level of fitness before tackling the climb.
For perspective, there are two bush walkers on a ledge in the centre of the photo, about one third from the top of the image!
Captured at 1/80th f5.6 and ISO-100.
