Description

Space shuttle Discovery's final airborne journey; a fly-by over DC before joining the Udvar-Hazy Air & Space Museum at Dulles, VA.
The end of an era for American space exploration; Discovery made 38 missions, spent 365 cumulative days in space, and orbited Earth 5,380 times.
This is a composite of 2 images I shot seconds apart as Discovery, atop a 747 transport, flew down the Potomac River.

Exif: F Number: 11, Exposure Bias Value: 0.67, ExposureTime: 1/250 seconds, Flash: did not fire, compulsory flash mode, ISO: 200, White balance: Manual white balance, FocalLength: 140.00 mm, Model: Canon EOS 7D
