Description

We climbed Mount Pananjakan in pitch dark to get this view of light falling on Mount Bromo’s Volcanic Landscape immediately after Sunrise. Right in front is the Tengger Caldera , Java’s largest with desert like sea of sand for about 10 km. After coming down from Mount Pananjakan we rode over this Caldera (yesterday’s post) to reach and then climb to the crater seen here at the back.

The word "stunning" is appropriate here, Ujjwal. I can't imagine climbing any hill or mountain in the black of night, but this marvelous sunrise scene and your capture of it were truly worth it.
