Hawaiian Hale (House)

Uploaded: March 27, 2012

Description

Lahaina Maui Hawaii
Simple architecture in a climate where you don't need heating or cooling. HALE (pronounced ha-leh) is the Hawaiian word meaning house or home.
This is not really somebody's home, but a hale in a park near the beach. Presently a canoe is being restored here and this hale is also used for festivals and celebrations.
