Stormy Coast

Description

Against the backdrop of a massive storm cloud and the pounding surf, huge pieces of driftwood lay lifeless on the beach, as if creatures slain by the mighty Pacific and its treacherous storms.

Quote of the Day: We do not associate the idea of antiquity with the ocean, nor wonder how it looked a thousand years ago, as we do of the land, for it was equally wild and unfathomable always. The Indians have left no traces on its surface, but it is the same to the civilized man and the savage. The aspect of the shore only has changed. ~Henry David Thoreau

As I sit here gazing at this gorgeous scene, I hear the waves in the distant shore. In the distance is the rain rushing to fill the ocean with wonderful water.... Outstanding capture, Randall. Perfect presentation! 8o) #1451756
