Description

---
This was yesterday. I had attended a fascinating afternoon performance (NOT as a photographer) at the magnificent Free Public Library on Logan Square, and was walking back to the train station on Ben Franklin Parkway. This was City Hall, looking straight through "Love Park." You can just barely see the famous red "LOVE" sculpture in the distance.
----
Here's another little tid-bit. That's William Penn on top of City Hall, sculpted by Alexander Calder. From this view, the scroll that Penn is holding in his hand may appear to be, well, "something else."
---
I first learned of this "view" two years ago when I was photographing the building. A sneering middle-aged man asked me if I was taking "dirty pictures" of William Penn. And then I found the explanation on Wikipedia. You must be standing on Ben Franklin Parkway to discern the "joke."
----
Jeepers. Is NOTHING sacred?

That is too funny, Michelle! But your capture is not - it's a wonderful composition - love the foreground of flowers that so nicely frames City Hall. Can't believe you have so many flowers already! #10035494
