Day to Night

This is the outdoor entrance area of a prominent bank in the center of Philadelphia, just off of Market Street, near City Hall.
-----
Walking companion, Bill, a Philadelphia native and also the organizer of our Camera Meetup club (Delaware Valley Photo Friends) wasn't shooting on this walk. Sometimes he prefers to direct, and on this day, his unique "eye" for a shot kept pointing us to shots that most tourists, walking the same route, would not normally think about photographing.
-----
This was one of his suggestions. The clump of color clinging to one of the hanging lamps is a bunch of balloons.
-----
Will try to catch up on commenting later on today. I have photos to download and process from three news shoots around Philly yesterday.

Bill sounds like a wonderful person, not grabbing the shot for himself, but letting others take it. Beautifully captured Michelle. #10021263Terry Cervi March 04, 2012

I need a "Bill" in my shooting life...if a photo opp doesn't have a giant bug crawling on "whatever", you know I'm gonna miss the bigger picture entirely. Seriously. Beautifully proportioned and balanced, Michelle, with excellent perspective, light and details. The colorful bunch of balloons adds a whimsical touch to what appears to be a very staid and conservative piece of Philly architecture...Good eye, Bill - super shooting, Michelle! #10022586Katherine Kuhn March 05, 2012
