Well, this is a beauty Paddy, fabulous macro my friend!
I know what you mean about the "block".
I went out and got some bird images earlier and if it wasn't for that I would have none. I don't even have any decent archive to draw from. My bird captures should take me to early spring, then I hope the "block" is gone. #1443161

This is an amazing macro, Patrick! Fantastic clarity and details!
It is too cold here for almost 3 weeks and I have no will to take any picture outside my house. So cats and archives (a poor one) are my only options. I am sure you will find something interesting what noone of us would even notice :) #9981181

Carol L. Fowler February 13, 2012

This is an unusual macro- fascinating! (As for your block, I bought a couple of books on photo creativity and how to see things in a different light- so if you buy one, it may kick you back into gear!) #9981224

Beautiful details and colors, Patrick. I just read the new BP book Creative Digital Photograph put out in October 2011. It has some great ideas, tips and beautiful photos. I really enjoyed it and recommend it. #9981257

Sorry about the block, Patrick! I think you must have short-circuited the creative juices by making such a wealth of creative images over the years!

Or maybe it's just these wonderful archives itching to get out. Great design, tones, focus and detail on this captivating image! #9981448

Paddy, this another stunning macro image! Wonderful color, detail and comp! Don't worry we all go through these slumps. I re-submitted all of Dec. and Jan.!! I think Carol and Tammy had a good idea. Pull out those photography books! #9981568

Ellen Hodges February 14, 2012

Wonderful detail and pov, Patrick!!! Soon as we get a tiny bit of spring in the air, things will look up, too! The book Tammy recommended is great and has a lot of pix from BP members!! #9981862

Cool capture and like the pov, Patrick! I have been going through the archives too. It has been just way too cold and miserable on the weekends to get out and take anything new. #9982577

Lovely contrast and detail in this image. I think all photographers go through periods of feeling "blocked". Just remember that you are a wonderful photographer and your creativity will return. #9984481

I know how it feels to hit the wall as it happens to me a lot of times. I know that you'll manage to come out of this with even more interesting captures. This seed pod is amazing and looks like a pair of eyes. #9986380

This block too will pass and until then we all enjoy your past expertise Paddy. I am not blocked just no time to get new captures. Hate the winter. #9987416
