Boy...this is EXACTLY like the one that Gracie Gershuny and I set off one day in 1956. We were playing outdoors and saw some smoke in the distance. So we pulled the lever and forgot about it.

Later that night, the police visited both of our homes. One NEVER forgets adventures with Gracie. Or Police coming to the door, for that matter.
