Beautiful animal! It seems to have it's eyes focused on something (maybe lunch?)
Curious, what lens did you use? Were you far away"? You did a great job of getting eye level. Can't wait to see more yellowstone:)

Hello Jana,
Thanks, happy you like it.
Animals is my thing you knowthat so I had some really close encounters with coyotes. When all others started takings shots ,I just anticipated where it would be going and went waiting for him to show up, walking towards me. The eye level is because I am really deep in the snow. This picture was taken with my 300mm /2.8 lens. This is really my best lens , but it need to buy, or exchange it maybe for a top zoom lens. Once the animal gets closer, which it did ( as near a maybe 4 meters), I can't do much with it, or shoot eye close ups. Or change camera with another zoom, which I did. But I loved the adrenaline!

Hi Alex,
Yes the prime lens are the best in my opinion but you do give up that flexibility.Beauty shot. Our zoo photographer does safaris and he is big on knowing animal behavior and anticipating what they are going to do next to get the best shot. It definately worked for you and the snow is just gorgeous!
