You can feel it in the air, the anticipation of waiting for the awards to arrive. The talent that is on display for all to see and share is amazing. Congratulations to all the January, 2012 winners. Merna #9961282

Description

They look authentic enough but, don't let these staircases made of logs fool you. Many fences, handrails and stairs in public places throughout Okinawa, Japan have these realistic-looking logs, which are actually made of concrete. Termites would eat wooden stairs like this, in the jungle, within a matter of months. This photo was taken on Tsuken Island in the jungle leading to a castle ruins. Nov 4, 2011 at 12:39PM using a tripod, cable release, Pentax K5 and an 18-250 Pentax lens at 18mm. f/22 0.6sec ISO 100. Category:Travel and Place
