The 'Gardjola'

'Gardjola' coming from the italian 'guardare' meaning to look at. Every point overlooking the Grand Harbor of Valletta has a Gardjola which was used as a look out point. These date back to the 1500's and were built when Malta was under the rule of the Knights of St.John.
