Description

Oshie and I were up early this morning to go to Cape Blanco and watch the sun come up. A chilly 35 degree wind was blowing from the north but there wasn’t a cloud in the sky. We found a place to wait by some wild iris and a dead cow parsnip stalk, about 160 feet above the Pacific, and there we watched a pleasant growing glow replace the darkness. Eventually visibility was so high, after the glow became bright enough, that Cape Sebastian was visible over the open sea, 36 miles to the south. What a beautiful coastline! And Oshie thought it was a mighty fine way to start the day. Of course, she is impervious to the cold.

Quote of the Day: Weather forecast for tonight: dark. Continued dark overnight, with widely scattered light by morning. George Carlin

Your tones are exquisite - perfect for this gorgeous scene. And you are so lucky to have an Oshie for a companion as she is the bonus in this winning (I predict) image. #1427658

My favorites of your always-stunning shots are those that include Oshie. I am madly in love with her. So for me, this is among your most brilliant work. Breathtaking is a major understatement. This one touches all my senses majorly, and tugs strongly at my heartstrings. #9846626
