Thank you everyone. I believe this is a young immature male hummingbird. It appears he is just developing his ruby-throated ascot. I know, you would think I would remember the name of that dazzling thing under his beak. When the cooler weather arrives here we see a rapid and continuous flow of tenants in the garden. The males leave us first and as usual the gals are left behind to tidy things up. I'm amazed at how brazen these little guys are. #9832330
