Mr. Happy Visits Sun Studio

Uploaded: November 25, 2011

Description

Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, B.B. King—they all recorded here at Sun Studio. Founded by Sam Phillips in 1950, this studio became the heart of the Memphis sound. It is still a functioning studio, and modern musicians still record here to try to acquire a little of the magic.

Ha ha, Wayne! I NEVER sing in public & if you ever heard me, you would know why! (I even have to lock my car doors & roll up the windows to sing in the car for fear of being arrested for such a horrible voice!)

Joyce, he looks like he fits in here! The "Sun Studio" logo is a perfect match! :)

Thank you Wayne, Karen, and Michelle. Mr. Happy was really wanting to record when he was here but there was a scheduling problem so he will have to come back at a later date. #9841145

I never thought about a musical recording to go with his travel book, what a good idea. He certainly looks at home with the sun logo. Good work=^..^= #9849109

He really was eager to record so we're trying to getting him back through Memphis. He knows that Elvis first recorded here and wants to follow in his footsteps.
