16-20 Door to Asia

Uploaded: November 11, 2011

Description

Greece is more laid back than its northern neighbor. The hotter climate the lower quantity of arable land make Greece a coastal culture. Santorini was a volcano 4000 years ago. it erupted and wiped out the Minoan (Crete) civilazation. That civilization was the most advanced in the world at the time and its disappearence has inspired the myth of Atlantis. Fira, the capital city, sits on the edge of the remaining caldera. It faces the most beautiful sunsets.
