Perforated Glass

Uploaded: October 25, 2011 04:25:37

Description

Part of a piece of art glass I brought home from my MA trip; the artist blows out a hollow form in clear glass, then burns holes through it with a
small torch. The end result is this lacy, somewhat organic-looking form of holes defined by glass edges. It stands in a hunk of granite.
The glass is 100% clear; the small, wild, wavy lines visible throughout the piece are the distorted view of the inside of the piece.
