Description

The Southern Railway depot in Ft. Payne Alabama served passenger traffic for 79 years. It once serviced as many as two express mail trains and six passenger trains daily. The depot, built in 1891 of pink sandstone in the Richardson Romanesque style, is on the National Register of Historic Places.
