Every March I try to get to Lowe's or Home Depot to buy 1500 lady bugs for ~5$. Formerly as a preschool teacher, now as a photographer. Store in fridge. In 5 times, only one bug bit but I didn't tell the kids. At class, I kept them in a terrarium for a couple of days.

~Phyllis, good info. I'm going to keep that in mind next year. ;)

~Robert, no posing, lol. We've found them during a walk about two seasons ago and they seem to come back there every year. It is an amazing thing to see. The log, ground and waters edge appears to be moving because there are sooo many of them.

The first time I photogaphed these was for my WEYG Club monthly photo competition, Reflections. It was during a hike to take reflections on a local lake that we found these. Luckily, they have returned to the same place for the past two years. It is amazing to see. #9957911
