RURAL SHRINE FESTIVAL

Uploaded: October 11, 2011

Description

This is a scene from a harvest festival at a small shrine in a rural area of my hometown. Although popularity of harvest festivals dedicated to local Shinto Gods is declining, this tradition is kept by people who try to pass it down to generations. Photographed at Matsumoto Shrine in the city of Hamura.
