Whimsical Weathervane
Uploaded: October 06, 2011
****
There is a neighborhood near ours, whose original homeowners (soldiers after WWII) were allowed to construct any style of home they chose.
There are Southern Plantation styles, a castle, etc. The house that this airplane sits above is circular(no corners).
I used filters and effects in Ulead Photo Explorer 8.0 and PSE 2 to go beyond sepia, keeping the tiles red, and choosing a "whimsical" sky color.
Because the main feature is unusual, I'm putting this image in the "Catch-All" category.

Stunning colors and very interesting design on this building, love the plane that they've used for the weathervane instead of the usual rooster or arrow. I guess they literally cut corners in the building's construction. Great work here Mary. #9720117Mary K. Robison October 06, 2011

Kiki, I just found your work comment tonight. Our computer needed some upgrades so I had to live without an Internet connection for a couple of days. Oh, the horror!! ;-DLaura E. Swan October 15, 2011
